COMSAN is a family-owned company based in Gavà, Barcelona, founded in 1963. We dedicate our activity to the manufacturing of toilet seats and lids using our Versagrit® material.
We have been working for the most important porcelain manufacturers worldwide for more than five decades, which has made us one of the leading manufacturers at a European level.
The experience we have accumulated over more than 60 years in the sector has allowed us for our toilet seats and covers, both in Versagrit® and Duroplast, to be recognized for their unique characteristics as well as for the quality of our production process and due to the composition and quality of its materials, designs and exceptional finishes. These attributes have consolidated our position as a benchmark in the sector worldwide.
We have three factories distributed between Gavà (Spain) and Suzhóu (China), backed by a large experience by more than 85 million toilet seats installed over the world. Our commitment to excellence and innovation drives us to continue to be an industry leader, providing quality products and meeting the needs of our customers around the world.

our history
origin and transformation
Complementos Sanitarios is born: First company of our industrial conglomerate, dedicated since its origin to the manufacture of toilet seats.
Pressan is founded: Dedicated to the manufacture of plastic components for our toilet seats.
We open our own toilet seat paint formulation and production plant.
We install our first manufacturing Robot (there are currently over 40 robots in all our factories).
Automated painting line for toilet seats (1.500pz/h – 1.4 km length).
Comsan Suzhou (China) is founded for the manufacture of toilet seats for the Asian market.
We begin the production of Duroplast toilet seats in Spain.
First manufacturing cell of Duroplast toilet seats that is 100% automated.
We open our design centre for the development of new products and solutions.
The Versagrit® brand is born to name our natural-origin material with which we manufacture our toilet seats, as well as other industrial applications.
