CID®, Comsan Integrated Damper, is a damper mounting and gearing system integrated into the damper, as its name suggests, patented by COMSAN. This innovative research and development (R&D) project was conceived internally in response to the challenges and shortcomings identified in traditional hinge systems on the market.
The creation of CID® stems from the need to provide a solution that not only overcomes existing limitations but also adds significant and differentiating value to our customers’ products.

1. Poka-yoke. Error-proof Design
In the market, many products include hinge systems that can be mounted in different positions or rotated in various directions, increasing the risk of assembly errors. Such errors can lead to functional failures, including limited rotation, incorrect drop times, blockages, or even damage to the damper or toilet lid.
To address this issue, we have developed a system with a single mounting position. This approach ensures the correct installation of the damper from the factory to the end user, eliminating the possibility of errors. With this system, the rule is simple: it is either mounted correctly or not mounted at all.
2. 100% Manual Assembly and Disassembly
Traditional hinge systems often require tools or specialized equipment for installation, limiting their use to industrial processes and complicating assembly for the end user. With our CID® system, we have developed a mechanism that allows anyone, whether an operator or a user, to assemble and disassemble the toilet lid completely manually and effortlessly.

3. Minimal Components, Maximum Efficiency
Many hinge systems on the market consist of numerous components and complex assemblies. Our philosophy is simple: more components mean more potential problems. For this reason, we have designed a system with the fewest possible parts, without compromising functionality or durability.
The result is a simplified system with just two components: the right hinge and the left hinge. Fewer components mean fewer complications and greater reliability.
4. Robust and Unshakable System
Through our experience, we have encountered hinge systems that lack robustness, with parts that can come apart during use or interchangeable components that allow improper handling. CID® was designed to prevent any incorrect interaction, resulting in a robust and reliable system that keeps the hinges securely integrated at all times.
The system is a single unit that does not come apart during everyday use, whether during cleaning or the assembly/disassembly of replacements. It is a durable and safe product.
